  • Bani Abidi at Tate Modern

    Reserved 2006

    Ongoing

Curated by Devika Singh, Bani Abidi’s Reserved 2006 is a two-screen video installation that shows an unnamed city preparing for the arrival of a VIP.

Reserved portrays the experience of waiting, and the boredom and sense of uselessness that it causes. While events like these take place in cities across the world, Abidi draws upon her own memories of growing up in Karachi, Pakistan. She recalls continually having to wait for a mayor, governor or some other dignitary to arrive.

  • Halima Cassell at Somerset House

    Collect Craft Fair 2022

    24 - 27 Feb 2022 I 11.00-18.00

Exquisitely crafted, Cassell’s dramatic pieces take pride of place in the prestigious Collect Craft Fair at Somerset House. Strong geometric elements and patterns meld with architectural principles in a dance of harmony and elegance inviting conversation.

Cassell uses solid surfaces to carve out complex patterns and contours. The result is a mesmerising representation of familiar designs and a celebration of the human interpretation of the natural world.
